Patterns, Lines and Lions (sleeping tonight)

Year 2 have been experimenting with lines and patterns on zebras and tortoises. As well as drawing, we have been singing. Altogether now "wim-o-weh, wim-o-weh..."

Visit our Friends in Year Five

Year Five has a blog gallery too. They might be surprised to learn this when they get back to school. You can go and see some of their artworks at here  ( or see the link on the side of this page) If you are in Year Two and you have big brothers or sisters in Year Five who are bugging you because they don't have enough things to do during the holidays, tell them to go and check out the "What's Next?" posts, and they will have plenty of ideas to keep them busy!

Happy Easter! Enjoy the holidays!

Happy Easter everyone!
Thanks for visiting our blog. We would like to read your comments on our art, so please post something for us. Your comment might not appear straight away because the comments here are moderated. This means a teacher checks the comments first before they are published for everyone to see. But that works by email, so you can still comment during the holidays. If you  are not a grown-up, please ask your parents for permission before you comment and don't include your full name, just write your initials at the end of your comment.

We have enjoyed drawing and acting and singing and dancing about animals this term. Doodle Art Alley is a  drawing and colouring-in site with cool animals to print and colour during the holidays. There are also some  Easter pictures on that site. Make sure you get your parents permission before you visit the site or download anything. You could also be really creative and try making some line drawings of animals or anything else you like and filling them with doodles and patterns of your own.

Have a great holiday everyone. Make lots of art!

Iguanas and Friends

Year Two have been experimenting with chalk, crayon and oil pastel designs. These animals were inspired by the illustrations of Leo and Diane Dilllon in Verna Aardema's adaptation of the West African Folktale "Why Mosquitos Buzz in People's Ears".
